We decided that dating needed a makeover and that we would be the people to do it. Re-imagining the function of dating-apps became our day-to-day.

Based on your shared interests and availability (and budget which you tell us), we plan a unique date so you don't have to worry about a thing - no choosing which restaurant to go to or debating which escape room to choose. No tedious endless messaging back and forth in the app or endless swiping.
So here’s the gist of it:
1. Make a dazzling profile with awesome photos and witty, honest answers
2. Slide to "Meet" or "Pass" on other dazzling profiles
3. Find a gem, slide right to "Meet"
4. You get a match (yay)!
5. You give us your details so we can plan you and your match an epic date (availability and budget)
6. We tell you and your match when the date is scheduled for (but we won't share date details just yet)
7. We cook up an epic date for you and your fab match
8. And just when you're itching to chat, 24 hours before the date you find out where you're headed and you can chat with your match
9. You meet. Sparks fly.
10. Mission complete.

Connection has long been at the centre of Wandure’s ethos. In each iteration of our vision fostering relationships and community was centre-stage.
Initially we sought to provide the traveler community with a forum to connect and delve into unique activities abroad. We were two pronged - we found unique, compelling activities for people to book along their travels, and we had a travel buddy feature for people to meet each other along the way or to travel with! It was stellar.
That said, we started to see that local travel-addicts were using the app to meet-up in their home cities, and better yet, they were using our activities to get to know their own cities! We also came to see that despite the over-connected society in which we live, many people find themselves feeling quite lonely.
So we thought … hmm … let’s figure out a way to make this more local and use our knowledge to help people meet in the dating world! After conversations with friends (and we’ll be honest, our own experiences) we saw that there was a consensus on the brutal slog of dating apps where conversations are limited, redundant, and for the most part, relegated to the virtual sphere. Pen-pals were the norm, actual dates not so much.
We wanted to design something that would stand out from the herd, to take love out of the virtual and let the spark happen where it’s meant to - in person.
Recognizing this ongoing challenge both in our personal observations and within our platform, we decided that Wandure could be (and should be) a place for people to engage in authentic and meaningful relationships.
And what better venue to apply our newfound knowledge than in the world of dating - an arena where quality certainly beats quantity, and where genuine, fun experiences are few and far between (yes, we’re referring to that boring drinks date we’ve all been on).
And so, using our incredibly dynamic and talented team, we created Wandure for you and yours - the dating app where you match with someone you like, then, instead of chatting and becoming pen pals, we immediately set you up with a unique local activity at a time that works for both of you.
